Wikipedia

I am a part-time professor teaching the US Constitution and civil rights courses. I've just been through some poor-quality term papers just a fortnight before Christmas. I get frustrated when some students use the god-awful "encyclopedia" of Wikipedia in their citations and references. It is not considered a trustworthy or an authoritative source of research information since the content is malleable and questionable! In other words, some schmucks with just too much time on their hands may simply fabricate information on that web site. Still, what really bothers me it that some students will use it anyway even if I warn against its use in the guidelines. Tsk. You ought to love the decaying state of the American public school system.

I'm trying not to be hateful since it is my duty to provide an education, but I just needed to let off some steam in preparation for the next quarter.
