Asian Bosses

I don't intend for this to become some kind of racist drivel, but I want to get this off my chest after spending far too many years working for people like this. It's not a racist issue, it's a cultural one, so get that straight before you get all offended by what I'm about to say.

With that out of the way, I have had it up to here with working for Asian bosses, in particular Chinese. In every case, I have found them to be completely soulless, selfish, arrogant, self-absorbed, narcissistic, self-aggrandizing and utterly out of touch with reality.

The kiss up, kick down mentality has always been at the forefront whenever I've had the displeasure of working for an Asian boss. As I said, it's largely cultural, but it doesn't make it any less insufferable. My boss couldn't care less how their subordinates feel in their roles, whether or not they are happy, adequately able to perform their work, have a sane work/life balance and whether or not they're burning out. The one and only thing they care about is how their superiors perceive them and how they can network up the chain. To that end, working for them is like working for a blind, deaf, chicken shit coward that would either not notice your problems in the first place or be too much of a coward to do anything about it. You should see just how much an Asian boss, especially a Chinese boss, will be averse to drama.

Additionally, most Asian bosses will go to any length, tell any lie and stretch any truth to avoid delays or other 'issues' and get the job done. They have no moral fiber, no business ethics whatsoever, no pride in their work (or how they got it accomplished) and no regard for burning other people, especially non-Asians, as long as they don't work/beneath them.

The other thing that chaps my ass to no end is the blatant and unabashed racism that these people display. Indians are not so bad, but Chinese? Oh my God. They have no scruples whatsoever when it comes to being complete racists in the work place. My boss is overtly racist, deliberately interviewing only Chinese if possible, only promoting Chinese and blatantly giving them favor in front of the rest of us. They have no regard for equal opportunity laws and they know that if they work for another Chinese boss, he'll have no problem with their racist behavior so they'll never get in trouble.

I've made it a personal vow that I will never, ever work for a Chinese boss again, especially not a native. They are so fucking far gone and so out of touch with reality, so unbelievable that it just drives me insane.

To close this, let me say once again that I am not a racist. I'm not bashing Chinese in general, or Asians in general. I am saying that working for Asian and especially Chinese bosses, in a professional environment, is something that infuriates me. My experience has been, without fail, everything I have described above. They might be nice people outside of work, good neighbors, whatever, but I will never work for them again.

Asian Bosses 2

This is not racist drivel. I dislike Asian bosses immensely not because they are Asian, but every single one I have ever worked for lacks the simplest morals.

Asian bosses:

  1. They are cheap asses. They expect you to work overtime without pay every single day of the week. They will without fail dock off your pay every week or month with no explanation.

  2. They are completely corrupt and expect their employees to back that up. Take this one Asian boss I had. One time I told a client the price of something because that was the standard price listed on the company's website. The Asian boss got super mad because apparently, he sells to different people at different prices by lying to the clients that the price they get is lower than others when in fact it's higher. And I was suppose to figure out that he's a corrupted dick? Don't false advertise and leave your employee to deal with it!

  3. They often contradict themselves and don't take the time to evaluate their own actions. They could care less about how you feel and how well you are doing at the job as long as you remain fearful of them. One boss got angry at me for "not asking enough questions". When I started asking questions he snapped and said "Why are you asking me, just figure it out!" What the fuck do you want from me?!

  4. They are snobby and racist. They are quick to judge you as incompetent and when you do anything they do not like they will have no qualms about calling you names in your face. All Chinese bosses I know give favors to only Chinese. Indians also. They will openly be rude to other races by treating them as people with inferior intelligence. This includes charging them higher for products, using less quality ingredients in their food, etc.

  5. They are unprofessional and let their emotions rule all decisions. Another Asian boss had a wife who liked a guy who was my friend. She got jealous of our relationship and the boss decided to fire me for "incompetence" (I did perfectly fine at my job) by CALLING MY DAD! Not even a fucking two weeks notice! At least have the courtesy to fire me to my face you stinking coward.

Asian bosses should go to hell and I will run into a pike if I have to work for one again.

Asian Bosses 3

I'm writing this to throw into the hat another tale of why a non-Asian shouldn't ever make the cardinal mistake of working for an Asian boss.

The last Asian boss I worked for was probably one of the worst human beings I have ever, *ever* had the displeasure of being acquainted with. There was, without a doubt, not a drop of sincerity in this person's body, not one shred of integrity and not one moral fiber to be found. No, that's not an exaggeration, that is fact.

In all the years I worked for this Asian boss of mine, never did I once get a true compliment, never once any sincere or meaningful recognition despite being, far and away, someone who would deliver the goods, take care of themselves and cover the asses of the weak links while I was at it.

No no, nothing you ever do for an Asian boss is good enough so long as you're not an Asian like them. As my experience proved, they are ready, willing and able to give preferential treatment to their own ethnicity with no regards for the law, company policy or anything else. Anyone that isn't Asian was treated as a second class citizen in one way or another, directly or indirectly.

What really takes the cake, however, was the fact that I have never in my life dealt with a person who was so arrogant, self-absorbed, ignorant, self-righteous, ethically and morally bankrupt, clueless and utterly ineffective as a colleague, much less a leader.

I can honestly say that that my Asian boss was the only person in this world, to this point in my life, that could truly boil my blood just at the sight of them or the sound of their voice. I have never felt such utter loathing for another human being in all my years on this Earth. I don't want anyone to confuse this with hatred, because what I'm talking about is pure and utter disgust, not hate.

Since getting away from my Asian boss, in more ways than one, I cannot fully express just how much my life has improved. I'm happier in my work, I'm happier at home, my stress level has fallen off the chart and I'm not angry and cynical all the time. It's just an amazing feeling of relief and an insane amount of weight off my shoulders.

Based on my experience and the mental and physical anguish that I have had to endure at the hands of an Asian boss, I will never in all my life work for another one. I saw enough Asian bosses and leaders who behaved the same way and had too many of the same traits at our company and there's not a chance in hell that I will ever put up with that misery again. I will gladly take a cardboard box or the unemployment line over the toll that working for an Asian boss has taken on my well-being and both my professional and personal life.

If you find yourself experiencing this kind of crap, my God's honest advice to you is to get the hell out of there.
